Great customer service from the start.
Malaya was very helpful in getting my solar panel registered. Very pleasant person and easy to understand very easy to deal with. The product is solidly built. I will most likely purchase additional panels in the future. Will try to update after the panel is installed.

266 watts on a January day!
Was really amazed at these panels, I have them hooked up to a Renogy Rover 40 Amp solar charge controller and they are producing 14 amps at 19.1 volts, that is about 266 watts. Very efficient panels and would recommend them without hesitation. Great job Renogy! I will be buying 2 more of the 100 watt panels soon.

Shadows are crippling
Clean panels do put out rated power directly facing unobscured sun.Light frost cut output 70%, heavy frost 90%.One corner shaded cut output 90%. Sunlight through distant bare tree branches that left no visible shadows cut output 80-90%.Be sure to check your location at the start of winter to avoid surprises.

Size change disappointing
Got this panel to replace one I purchased a few years ago that had broken, when I dropped a tool from 40ft onto it.I was hoping that the replacement would fit the same spot on the cabin roof, but it was slightly shorter and slightly wider. Otherwise its a great solar panel, and joins the other two I have mounted on my boat’s cabin roof.

Well packaged – good panel
I have used several Renogy products. Their solar panels are better than most. In best California full summer sun, I can only get 162 watts max. That seems typical, unless you can find the Renogy Eclipse, which reviews showing it tests at or above rated capacity. Happy with the watts per $ for this panel. I just hope I donโt have to deal with customer service again as my last experience with a failed Solar charge controller wat absolutely terrible

Reversed Polarity and Bad Quality Control at Renogy
Update 2/5/23 Raised to 3 starsThe Good:Output is exceptionally high at 114 watts or 14% above 100 watt nominal rating as pictured. Measured on a perfectly clear day at the very low ambient temperature of minus 15 degrees F. While most solar panels will put out higher voltage and hence more power at lower temperatures, these 36 cell, 100 watt modules exceeded my expectations. Your experience may vary depending on what you might be feeding with your system. This example shows four 100 watt panels feeding an Ecoflow Delta 2 power station with extra battery, see pictures. The Bad:Quality control at Renogy is poor. I bought 7 of these Renogy RNG 100D-SS panels, and while five were just fine, two were labeled in reverse polarity causing a short circuit. Look at the attached pictures to see that 2 separate 100 watt solar panels were incorrectly wired and labeled by Renogy Solar. One panel was marked positive on both wires. the second was labeled in reverse. Not good! Both were in the same box, with consecutive serial numbers, and both managed to get passed by QC. That mistake resulted in a short circuit and a lot of wasted time on the phone with Renogy. While the representative at Renogy was willing offer compensation of just 5% of my purchase price, I found this unacceptable as a solution for all the wasted time I spent going up and down ladders with a multimeter troubleshooting their inexcusable mistake. Not sure if I’d work with Renogy again as there’s plenty of choices on Amazon for similar panels at similar prices. But if I do buy more, I will definitely double check polarity and their quality of workmanship. After reworking the wiring I was pleased to see the panels were still working well, in fact they all were putting out 114 watts, mainly due to the very low temperature outside. Definitely double check polarity with a volt meter if you buy these. In all fairness, Amazon’s customer service experience was excellent, and much better than working directly with Renogy. This is why I buy on Amazon, customer service.Update 3/19/23Overall a very good panel But there are some QC problems to be aware about. I purchased 9 of these so far and they all put out 100w or better. Two of them came wired or labeled with reverse polarity and caused a short circuit. I quickly discovered the problem and fixed it myself however there does appear to be a couple of dark discolored spots on one panel that might indicate over heating of a cell, possibly caused by the short circuit, possibly just came that way from the factory. Anyway before you install these panels definitely check them thoroughly for discolorations and correct polarity. They are otherwise excellent panels for the money.

Regularly exceeds rated output
I bought this panel to pair up with an ecoflow river 2 and so far I’m very happy with it. It’s simple/sturdy and the output has exceeded my expectations. On a sunny day I regularly hit 100w output. I have been camping at over 7000ft elevation and these days have been chilly, so I know that helps a lot. 112w is the highest that I’ve seen. There’s excellent value in this panel, especially if you get it on sale. I’ll come back with updates if anything changes but I’m very happy with this purchase. The packaging was good and everything arrived in perfect condition.

Polarity matters: positive lead to pos lead and neg to neg on Togo Power station
Good overall value but watch the polarity. Used for shed power and connected to TOGO power station with built in controller. I was apprehensive it would work due to connections. Panel +/- cables to Togo -/+ MC4 cables to 8mm DC in. Didn’t work- no charging. checked the panel with a multimeter and worked. talked with TOGO and Renogy and both just said it would should work by plugging male to female connectors regardless of positive/negative leads. They were both wrong. Had to replace the MC4 connectors and switch the male/female connections so that a positive would go to the positive lead of the Togo and negative to negative. Works.Either was wired incorrectly or should specify in instructions possiblity of needing to replace connections. Basic fix and should have just trusted basic middle school science class instead. hopefully this helps someone.

Great!
I use this on a rv. The top voltage is 21 and using a 50 ft 14 ga extension cord it’s 17 at the controller. Anything over 14 will give it full charging amps. I use three 50 amp panels and these are the best bang for the buck.

REORDERED
Renogy makes two size panels. They label them G-2 and G-3. This model was the G-2 and didn’t fit in my custom designed array. I gave it to my neighbor who says it works GREAT. I reordered the G-3 size and it arrived. WORKS great and fit perfect in my system. I have four of these 100 watts panels and they work great. I live off grid six months out of the year. I power a desktop computer and lights. Inverter for other misc. appliances. Would buy again.

Really Nice Panel
I first bought Harbor freight panels that had plastic frames that quickly cracked and stopped working. This panel is in a completely different league. It has a very rigid aluminum frame and can be easily mounted in a variety of ways. Power output is good but of course it varies based on the time of year, wire gauge, length and the type of charge controller and battery you use. Rest assured, with this brand, the ratings are conservative. The waterproof MC4 connectors are also professional quality and work well rain or shine. I started out with one several years ago but now I have three and am very happy!

Great solar panel!
The Renogy Solar Panel 100 Watt 12 Volt is an exceptional choice for solar energy enthusiasts. It not only works great but also stands out for its lightweight design. This 100-watt solar panel efficiently converts sunlight into electricity, making it suitable for a wide range of applications. Its lightweight build simplifies installation and handling, and it’s perfect for both on-grid and off-grid setups. Renogy is a trusted brand in the solar industry, known for its quality products, and this panel lives up to that reputation. Whether you’re powering your RV, boat, or an off-grid cabin, this solar panel is a top-tier choice for dependable and efficient energy generation.

Pretty good solar panel. I had another knock off brand panel and it didnโt pull in nearly as much energy as this one. As long as the panel has full sun it draws close to the 100 watts advertised. Solid panel. I would recommend

Excellent wattage
I purchased 4 100 watt solar panels in November to charge my Anker powerhouse. Installation was easy. Today is January 20th in Green Bay Wisconsin and at 11:30 am I happen to look to see the input wattage to the Anker from the panels is 423 watts. The panels are exceeding the rated output in Wisconsin in January! Well built and a great value. I do not write many reviews unless it is deserved and Renogy does on these panels. Canโt wait to see how well they do in a few months.

Great panel at a decent price
This panel fit perfectly on my solar toolbox project, right next to a 100watt panel. Rugged construction with the metal frame with mounting holes in the perfect places to where I did not need to make more holes to mount up. Only complaint would be that the connectors on the back of the junction box are a bit shorter than what I needed to connect it up with the other panel and had to also buy an extension. Panel works as it should, and I hope to get many years out of this panel.

Solar panels work great
I ordered 2x 100w solar panels to charge my EcoFlow Delta 2. So far they have done great. The max output I’ve seen from them both was right at 193 watts with spikes to 195. Im sure I could get the extra 5 watts if I angled them just perfectly. Would highly recommend these!Edit: It’s been cloudy out and somehow the solar panels spiked up to 250 watts! Maybe this is something to do with the MPPT controller and voltage spikes but idk. Whenever the clouds let a lot of light through the wattage would spike close to 250 watts.

Great panel
This is a fantastic solar panel. I mounted the panel on top of my tool shed and wired it to my Bluetti 2100 watt solar generator. The panel wattage output measured 140 watts on the Bluetti watt meter and the sun was at about 80% until I mounted the panel angled towards the sun and the output increased to 170 watts on the bluetti solar generator watt meter. As the sun went down to no direct sun light on the panel the watt output was still good and high 80 watts. I’m loving this solar panel and planning on getting about two more. The Bluetti these panel will be charging run my lights and a portable A/C unit I my insulated 10’X10’X7′ tool shed.

A good choice but learn before you buy.
Do your homework, and limit your expectations. There are many considerations in solar panel technology other than their advertised wattage. Lots of things factor into how many watts your panel can harvest over any given time. Expect less than half the watts advertised for starters, and work on efficiency over time. Once you understand that solar panels must be angled at varying times and degrees, rather than permanently fixed to maximize efficiency, you’ll be well on your way. Yes, you can permanently mount the panel in a horizontal position, but depending on the surface and angle of the sun at any given time, this will affect the amount of watts you can harvest. Another big consideration in panels is the amount of landscape they require for their installation, their prospective location, and surface, if any. Some are larger than others and heavier too. The flexible and folding ones have their drawbacks as well. Consider where you plan to put them and how you plan to use them before deciding what to buy. After a lot, a lot, a lot, of reading and research, hundreds of product reviews, and a determination to return them if they didn’t perform, I bought these. I’m glad I did because they didn’t disappoint me. I don’t get 100 watts out of these panels, but I also don’t run the risk of overloading my system. Again, be wary of the maximum wattage stated. You’ll never get that out of any panel unless perhaps you’re out in space pointed directly at the sun. Finally, it’s usually a logistics issue but be aware that these require special handling, so even though they were advertised as Prime in terms of delivery when I bought them, mine took a couple of weeks to arrive. At no time were they advertised as being out of stock, so it’s fair to think their size and handling are the reason they take so long to arrive. Others have experienced the same kind of delivery delays, so be advised you may not get them in a hurry and so should plan accordingly if your need is urgent. All-in-all, for the price point, these are a very fair deal, even more so if you happen to catch them on sale, as I did. I’m a satisfied customer even if I had to pay regular price and expect you will be too.

These are great panels at a good price.
I bought these panels on a black Friday deal. I own 4 other Renogy panels and have had great success with them. The oldest is 4 years old now and I have not seen any notable deterioration in the charging output. I have an off grid setup for my camper which stays out at our remote property year round. I am using two of these 100 Watt panels wired in series, feeding an Epever MPPT controller and feeding a 100AH Lithium battery. We have some very cold nights in the spring and fall, so the heater may run continuous, but the system recovers great each day with these panels.

102 WATTS OUT OF EACH OF 2 100W PANELS!
I get charging current even on very cloudy days. Great price on one of the best panels out there! No problem recommending this panel.

Renogy Solar Panel 100 Watt 12 Volt
Using this to maintain the RV batteries while the RV remains covered for the winter months. The 100 watt size is prefect for maintaining 200 amp hour of coach batteries plus the engine battery.

Better than expected
As soon as I received the panel’s I unboxed everything and set them in the sun to check if they worked. First things I noticed is they are built really well, and they sent me 24 volt panels and I ordered 12 volt so a big plus for me, 96 volts of power from an expected 48 so again a big plus in my favor (After ordering a total of 22 of these they are all producing more than 100W each unfocused and YES they are a good deal). Next I pointed them at the sun and was getting more than rated voltage when in a direct angle to the sun, and I got a reading of 24.5 volts DC on all but 1 which was 22.8 volts DC with them pointing unfocused; in an attempt to imitate the angle they would be in a stationary system on the roof. Of course my opinion may change if they don’t work long term but right now I couldn’t be happier with the purchase. Edit: It’s been a few months now using these panels fully off grid. And I couldn’t be happier. Yes I could have spent a lot more money and had fewer panels by buying 300+ watt panels but space wasn’t a worry for us money is. We would have spent quite a bit more per watt buying the higher wattage panels. The important thing is each and every one of my Renogy solar panels produces more than the rated wattage under full sun. It isn’t a lot but we get over 3200 watts total under full sun with 30 panels now. Which means there is over 200 watts higher than rated wattage total. Thats 2 panels worth. I call them our ghost panels. My opinion of these panels and the company couldn’t get better. The PowMr 5000W CC/Inverter we are using can take 450V to the MPPT with a max of 500V 16 amps. Two arrays of 15 panels each at 13 amps is where we are now, thats about 250 V 6.5 amps per array. We are going to add more panels to reach the 450V 16A input potential. Right now we only use battery power under full sun if we use the dryer or microwave oven, everything else is powered between say 8:00 AM to 6:00PM by our panel array which are not focused and is a bit small yet. That includes recharging our battery bank, watching TV, coffee on, lighting and the fridge. If the dryer and AC are on at the same time we may see a small draw on the batteries around 1 or 2 amps when the dryers heating element is powered, which is intermittent. Right now we are fairly balanced. The panels run everything in the house pretty much during daytime including recharging batteries, and the batteries at night; which means the panels are producing all the electricity we use. Adding a few more panels will end using any battery power during a sunny day and adding panels to reach 450V max will probably accomplish that on a cloudy day. And thats the last thing I want to mention. Even though power production does depend on how much light is blocked by clouds or shadows, they do produce power on overcast days. A thin layer of clouds won’t appear to make much difference and even on a day with a few rain clouds around we will have power coming from the panels. So my rating is 100% 5 Stars and I’d add another 5 if I could. The panel that produced 22 volts was made wrong. One of the cells isn’t connected and what looks like the solder strip is laying across the neighboring cell face. Still can’t complain I purchased 12V panels.

Impressive performance
I am using this for a more upscale car battery float charger. The panel fits on the dash, but just barely. Conversely, it is 50w, not the 10,20, or 30 of the more commonly sold chargers. This panel is so impressive that you can shine a flashlight on it and watch it sharge the battery!

Good components but mismatched
Two 100 watt panels wonโt work with the controller unless you go 24 volt instead of 12 volt.

check polarity b4 using
Polarity was reversed. Panel is light, easy to store and point, and most importantly, works great when sun is out. Keeps my two 12v LA batteries charged for normal use on my RV. Use a 15′ 10 thick wire connection to my Zamp SAE plug. Used polarity reverse plug on SAE plug. Would recommend. 4 stars because polarity was reversed.

5 Watts is accurate.
I was unable to check open circuit voltage due to the way the built in controller works but it does put out 0.35amps when I hook my meter in series. I would buy it again.

Quality product at a decent price
I went with Renogy solar panels because as I researched solar panels their name was always there.I read sooooo many reviews and was satisfied that they would be the way to go. I am totally satisfied that I made a good decision. Easy installation!!!!!Light weight and smaller in size which helped me a lot because I installed them on my roof top tent where space is a premium. I only bought panels because my power station has its own charge controller built in. Worked like a champ straight out of the box. Thank you Renogy for a quality product.

Different dimensions than previous orders.
I’ve bought these panels 2-3 times before. As a new user, I don’t want to buy too much of a product without trying it out on a small scale. I’m currently installing 4 of these panels on my camper and wanted to add another 2. Simply clicked “buy again”, thinking I would get the same panels. These latest panels are wider and shorter than the previous ones. I’m using Renogy adhesive panel mounts and was trying to mount all 6 panels so I could replace one if one dies. But now I need to space the 2 new panel adhesive mounts to fit a different size. I understand that Renogy may change to improve products or reduce price, but changing the dimensions and keeping the same part number is not helpful to me. If I end up replacing a non-functioning panel, I will need to replace the permanently bonded mounting frame to fit the replacement panel size.

Renogy Panels are the Best
These little 100w panels are great! When it’s sunny I frequently pull over their rated wattage. They seem to perform better when they are put in series. Make sure you have a quality charge controller otherwise, they won’t reach their potential. I have a Victron SmartSolar controller and these panels perform great. With 4 of them in series, I will regularly see over 430 watts of production with full sun. Its November so I’m curious to see what I can get in the Spring and the Summer.

Second installation – Just two panels – will need brackets, controller, MC4 connectors and wiring.
The combine two panels can reach up to 200 WATTS of power. Both worked well and as expected. You will need to buy the controller, connectors, brackets and wires. Not difficult to install but it took me the better part of the day. Tech support will answer the phone but were no help in figuring out the installation. A bit disappointing. There are a lot of videos on what to buy and installation options. They are new and so far, are working as expected. I would buy again. The first installation went well but the non-drill brackets were permanent and I sold them with the tent. Where permanent is good, it would make repairs impossible. New installation is all bolt together using rails. I attached the brackets to the bottom of the rails using bolts. This kept the panels just below the rail top (some protection) and this would allow for removal in the future if damaged. Added a few pictures. The panels are working well and getting good output.

Well built and reliable
I had the need to build a exhaust fan for my small greenhouse. I decided to have it solar powered and run on 12v instead of running extension from the house. I have watch a fair number of videos with RV’ers and Van Life travelers that spoke very highly about the Renogy 100 watt panel. I did some additional research and decided on still going with Renogy. They may not be the least expensive, but I can see how they got the great reputation. The panel came in simple but sturdy packaging. I unboxed and tested right away and provided the proper voltage. The panel is a quality build. It has provided reliable charging power to the small battery bank I have in the greenhouse that powers the exhaust fan and a couple of other USB fans I have in the greenhouse to move the air around. I have it attached to and small frame I built out of galvanized angle iron. (If anyone likes the look, all I did was buy the angel iron set used to secure garage door tracks to the ceiling. The sizes in the package worked out perfectly. That, some nuts and bolts and your good to go.)I have purchased a second panel for the additional power I will need for a water pump for the greenhouse. I would recommend the panel to anyone who wants a small panel. The panel prices seem to move up and down a bit so watch the prices.Update 5/30/21 I am a bit frustrated. My second panel came damaged (during shipping) and the replacement panel that was even more damaged with shattered glass. Both were handled by the USPS. It would appear that the panels are dropped or slammed into things when shipped. Amazon only offered the return on the second replacement and I will have to reoder the panel as a new order. Note to AMAZON – Don’t ship these using the USPS. The other shippers may cost more, but two returns are not making it cheaper….Update 8/19/21Just a quick update. I received the second panel in June and it was in perfect shape. I have had the green house fans running all summer without any issues. Refund from the second returned panel was taking longer than the allotted time frame. I contacted customer service through the website chat function and the rep was great!! 5 stars. Responsive and took care of crediting my account right then.
