    Not bad at all.

I bought this to test, I will likely buy more for long term/emergency storage. I did have to make multiple quarter gallons so I could find my favorite ratio. But eventually, I found it to be very good. The next round will be stored for a time to again for quality.

    Good taste and extra vitamins

This tastes good, unlike the non-fat dry milk you can pick up at the grocery store, and it is a good price. It does have just a very faint hint of a vitamin taste.I always keep this on hand since we live far out in the country and there have been time of power outages, ice-storms, etc that make going to town to the grocery store for a gallon of milk unpleasant and not very practical. We also use it in smoothies and in cooking on a daily basis.

I am very unhappy because you cannot return this product and my cans arrived damaged. I do not feel comfortable storing long-term with damage to the cans. There are many dents all over the can.

Wanted to get these but storage for that long in a container this damaged doesn’t seem like it will stay shelf stable.-update it has now been quite some time since leaving this review and no one ever contacted us for refund or replacement or even an apology

    HUGE DENT in can.

Huge dent in the side of the can. The box arrived in great shape, indicating that the can was placed damaged in the box before it was taped up. No replacement or refund offered for the return of the can even when the damage happened prior to leaving the warehouse.

I purchased two of these for an emergency so i cant open one to taste it which is unfortunate. I would recommmed the company to add a taste pouch with each shipment if they continue to want a product review on flavor, taste and thinckness. Shipment was fast though.

    Expiration date

This did not match the 25 year shelf life promise. This was dated only for 9 years from now. Keep an eye one expiration dates. Amazon customer service was good so I did not get ripped off with this and the powdered eggs. Milk was a good expiration date, though.

    Nice tasting

This is great powdered milk that doesn’t taste like powdered milk. I’m definitely substituting this for store bought milk. I was drinking too much milk and going to the grocery store ( and spending too much money on unplanned purchases ) too often just for milk. Add in some strawberry powder or honey and it’s great!

Damaged Product – YOU CANNOT RETURN/EXCHANGE/GET A REFUND

I ordered 4 cans that never showed up and had to order a replacement (still waiting for replacements). I ordered 2 more cans a week later and they were delivered today .. both had several dents and item is non-returnable.*update*I received the 4 replacement cans (from ones ordered that disappeared in shipping). The 4 cans came in 2 different boxes, all dented…. I ordered 6 cans total, arrived in 3 different boxes, all dented.. In addition to the dents, one can has a messed up seam at the top (obvious done in manufacturing). Terrible quality control.

In a Pinch … It’s The Best I Have Run Across so Far

I got these for hiking as well as for emergency use.Pros:- Powdered- Just Add Water- Packed With 14 Vitamins and 6g of Protein Per Serving- Good Caloric Intake Per Serving- 25-Year Shelf Life- Soy-Free- Gluten-Free- No Artificial Colors- No Preservatives- No Artificial FlavorsCons:- Want MoreWhat you get in the package:- 1 x Canister of NUTRIENT SURVIVAL Powdered Vitamin Milk- 1 x Plastic LidThis Canister of NUTRIENT SURVIVAL Powdered Vitamin Milk product has been prepared with 14 essential vitamins and 6g of protein in every serving. The product comes powdered in a metal canister with a reusable plastic lid. What I liked about this product is that it has a great shelf life of 25 years. Standard for most emergency rations but still nice to be in the industry standard. This is only the case if it is sealed. Once you open the container the power is good for 9-12 months. So I vacuum seal the powder into individual servings to keep the shelf life of the product. The canister opens much like a big can of soup. So be sure to have a can opener in your stash to make is easier on yourself. I weighed the product in the canister and on the label it states that it contains 1027g. In my testing, I received 1025g which converts to about 2.25lb.I wanted to test this out in sort of outdoor or emergency use. But it was too rainy to do the testing on the trail today. So I performed my testing indoors. But the same outcome should result. I stirred the requisite about of power to water as follows:- 8oz of Water- 2 Rounded Tablespoons of Powdered Vitamin MilkInstructions are straight forward .. Per the label, you mix and enjoy. What you get is an 8oz serving of powdered milk that reminded me of when I was a child. But it does taste a bit better than the powdered milk I grew up with for a time. The milk is actually not bad at all and if it is cold, you barely notice it in cereal. If you mix it into anything for cooking, like mash potatoes or hot chocolate, it is great. It is great to have a supply on hand that can be available to your family in an emergency or on the trail.NOTE: This product reports that it is Soy and Gluten Free. However, per the label, it is manufactured in a facility that processes Tree Nuts, Peanuts, Soy, Wheat, Dairy and Fish. So there is always the chance of getting trace amounts of these for those who are allergic.I was unable to locate any warranty either in the product information or item description.I received this product in exchange for an honest review. All in all, IMO this is a great survival ration. In emergencies or on the trail, affords you a small taste of the good stuff. It is packed with vitamins and protein. What’s more is it really isn’t too bad on the taste buds. It’s not from the utter to the mouth taste. But for a survival ration, it is the best I have run across. It’s a snap to make and so light weight that you will barely notice it in your pack. Did I mention the 25-Year Shelf Life …You have to give their Triple Cheese Mac Product a try .. IMO its their best. This product is made in the USA.

    cereal ready and kid approved

I recently went up to northern Nevada for a few night winter camping. I was concerned because I have limited space to pack cold weather gear for me and my kids. I wanted to conserve space in my food, but I didn’t want to compromise on it either. One of the ways I found to save space in my travel fridge was to bring along powdered milk for breakfast and as an ingrediant for cooking. This survival milk fit the a few check marks and ended up being a game changer on future trips. First its convenient and travels well. It takes up no space in my fridge making room for other things, I can not have go warm. The amount of nutrients in it is amazing and its stacked with vitamins and protein. It last FOREVER, so im not worried about it going bad for the next 25 years and I can use it for my emergency food prep. Because earth quakes and hurricanes are unpredictable and you should have something to get you through a few days with no power. This is all great, but if my kid can’t stand it. I might as well not get it. Well im happy to report it taste great. They had NO clue this was powdered milk and they drank it up. They had it will their cereal and hot chocolate. I used it for my coffee and made our mash potatoes extra creamy with it. This was perfect for out camping trip and because it lasts forever. You will have to play with the amount of powder to water ratio to meet your own taste preference. The thickness will depend on how little or how much you add. I added a little more than the recommended amount to make a nice thick creamer for my coffee.Overall I can’t be anymore happier with the milk. Ive had plenty of powdered milk in my youth and it certainly did not taste like this. I This went beyond my expectations and will get more in the future. Im adding a couple of cans of it to my emergency prep kit at home. Having milk as a cooking ingredient is pretty important and having it available for years is amazing.

I buy this because it not only taste good, but is good for you!

I love this company, they are great people. The quality of the products is awesome, if I could change one thing about it. It would be that their products were snap or healthcare spending eligible to make it easier on the budget considering it is both a food and vitamin supplement that’s easy for the body to digest/absorb. People keep saying ‘buy better foods’. But the problem is most of the higher quality or healthier stuff you can’t afford with food stamps. One item and your entire allowance is gone. This companies products, show up in any labwork done. I often have chronic low vitamin levels, but because of the companies products i’ve actually had several amazing results lab wise. For whatever reason my body has an insanely hard time absorbing vitamin D and a few other vitamins but D is my most obvious since living in Oregon where everyone is Vitamin D deficent, but the product works. I make a box of mac n cheese, rice, put a tbsp in my morning coffee, or make homemade bread with the stuff it last me a long time, and I don’t feel like crap eating/drinking it.I use both the milk and butter from this company on a regular basis, as well as having some put aside for emergency use. I justify it because ‘high quality vitamins’ cost as much as the product itself if not more. Plus using it as a food means I don’t have to buy 2 seperate items in the end saving a bit more money. Granted, I am subbed to the news letter so I always see when their products go on sale. Then I buy a between 3-6 of their products especially if the sale is REALLY good – sometimes from their website and sometimes from amazon.I hate powdered milk, I hate the taste of powdered milk. But this stuff doesn’t have that funky dirty taste. I think i’ve only come across 1 other brand that doesn’t have the taste – and that’s ‘red cow’ whole milk w/cream. (Gotta dream of the day when they start doing a whole milk line of Nutrient Survival – that would be like the most ultimate food – because milk fats are actually good for you and have been used for thousands of years by humans!)
