Bang for your buck during a power outage.
The fact that’s it’s self charging with radio and can charge your phone is a good way to know what is going on in your neighborhood.

Versatile
All the features you expect for an emergency radio/light/charger. It is all it said in the description. I find it very well constructed. Pretty sturdy. For the price I’m impressed.Light is not extremely bright but for the price on a hand crank and solar power it is good enough.

Works perfectly
It does what it supposed to do. I see a lot of reviews saying it doesn’t. I suggest you go over the instructions again carefully. I can see where a person could make a mistake charging the unit. Follow the instructions and you should have no problems.

Perfect Emergency/ Camping Radio
I was surprised how much is packed into this device for its size! Its only about 6 inches wide and 2 inches thick but it is a powerhouse. Also the crank feature charged it up quickly and the radio quality was great.

Advid campers praise rec’d
Gave this a s a gift to a young avid camper who has been quite pleased with the gift. Found it perfect sized. and adaptable to most of their potential needs. As a result I gifted one to another camper (older)and they said it was a big improvement over their current one which was 8 -10 years old. Both are knowledgeable average campers.

USB cable was damaged
The packaging box was damaged but the box the unit came in was undamaged… The usb plug was crushed. I think either quality control failed to inspect the plug or sent it to me knowing it was damaged. Their instructions that came with it said to call them & give them a chance to remedy any issues. I called left my name & number. They never called back. I wrote & email explaining the situation & they wanted pictures & more info… the cable/usb is common issue so I’m just using one from another product. Not worth dealing any further with them over 30 cent part. I don’t plan to buy from them again. The device works fine. No complaints there. I bought two of these & gave one as a gift. Overall, I am content with the product but not with the way the handled the issue. I don’t plan to buy from them again.

Great little radio
I bought this because we encountered our first tornado. It was only an EF1 and we must have been at the start of to where we only lost power. Our power went out at midnight and we had no way to charge our phones, hear what was going on, or anything. We could use the car to charge it up a little bit, but it would die just as fast. This is lightweight, has an emergency sos button should you need it. There is a solar charger, a crank charger, or you could use 3 Batteries. It allows you to charge a cell phone and comes with a micro USB cord. I’m sure there are fancier more expensive ones out there but this is good enough for me. I will say our power came on right before I got this so I can’t say how long it takes to charge a phone etc or how good the solar power panel is. I will play around with it and once I find out I will update this.

Portable emergency radio.
Smaller than it appeared online. Purchased to have radio during severe weather and power outages. Having the multiple means to power the radio, solar, hand crank, battery as well as the ability to recharge other devices is great. The flashlight and reading light are useful.

Works? Yes. Good? No.
The Good – The reception is great and it does pick up a lot of stations, quickly. Using the supplied charging cord charges the lithium battery and seems to be the best method. That’s about it.The Bad – Flashlight is good enough inside a room if you need to see in the dark, but don’t expect much from it for guiding you outside in the dark. I would best describe it as a reading light. Beam pattern can be adjusted but it’s a waste since the light isn’t very bright. The solar panel doesn’t charge the battery very well. Was left in direct sunlight for 8 hours and the battery lasted about 5 minutes with radio tuned to a station. The solar panel also cannot be directed to a light source because the light behind it turns on, wasting the battery. This is a poor design. To get the full effect of the sun, you must turn the whole radio toward it. Why make it pivot at all?The SOS switch at the bottom should be it’s own button. Too easy to inadvertently switch it to SOS.Hand crank charging this thing is LOUD. I have hand crank flashlights that are far quieter to use. Best bet is to use AAA batteries or charge with charging cable. Hope for the best.Water resistance is laughable. The cover for the charging ports does not close at all. It is flimsy and very thin. If the water resistance rating of this radio has was true, it won’t last long at all in any sort of water area. Keep it far away from any liquids.

My review
The FosPower Emergency Weather Radio (Model A1) – it’s pretty neat! I was skeptical at first, but it’s actually come in handy a few times. What I like most is the multiple power options – you can charge it via USB, solar, or even hand crank, so you’re never without power. The design is straightforward, and it’s easy to use, which is a big plus during stressful situations. The built-in power bank is a lifesaver too – keeps my phone charged when the power’s out. Now, I’ll be honest, the sound quality isn’t amazing, but it gets the job done. It’s not exactly a replacement for your favorite speaker, but for emergencies, it does the trick.Overall, I think it’s worth it for the peace of mind it provides. It’s durable, reliable, and affordable – definitely a good addition to your emergency kit.

Amazing product. For all areas.
Have had this product for little over a year and it’s help up on deployments, camping, and helps when we’ve have severe weather storms making us lose electricity. This has turned into a must have for us cause it can be used to charge phones or other needed items. Solar panel works but isn’t perfect. Radio is well loved and used but after a year and half for some reason the turning know for volume/ tuning isn’t working. Currently in contact with customer service with this to get a replacement and they are very helpful. I also love the battery option for charging.

Super Loud SOS Simple To Use
The power bank feature seems to work pretty well – if I read the instructions right you have to charge the battery in the unit and then charge another device – I don’t believe you can charge a phone etc while turning the crank. I tested charging my cell phone it added 5% charge to my Samsung cell phone pretty quickly. The instructions give sample times for hand crank recharging the unit – for recharging other devices I think an avg 3 min of cranking to replenish the units battery bank for 20 mins of unit use or charging another device would give you an an idea of how much effort would be needed to fully off load and transfer a charge to another device. The solar panel charges the internal power bank but there isn’t a real indicator to say how much charge is taking place other than a single indicator light, that is either on or off. First charge took approx. 4 hours and that matched what the instructions for the unit indicated so that was on the mark. The radio feature even with antenna extended doesn’t seem to pick up stations very well – I have an older radio that picks up lots of stations but this one only seems to find one station and the weather radio feature none so far. The lights are well placed and bright. The unit is light weight and features seem well placed for use. The attached wrist strap is of good quality, but, the single strand of material attaching the strap to the unit won’t wear will and could be a problem – you might want to add a stronger connection from the unit to the strap if that is an important feature for your use. The charging features and options I would give this one a 5 star, for the radio feature and weak connecting strap 1 star. Cost vs utility I think for the functions the pricing is fair and I would probably buy a second one if the radio part worked better.

Great tool for a great price
I got one of these two years ago for Father’s Day. The quality of this weather radio is fantastic. We have been camping a few times with it, and I utilize it at home during the summer. The sound quality is very good, when using it as a normal radio it picks up stations from quite a ways away. It holds a charge for a long time, even with constant use, and the solar charging works pretty quickly. I highly recommend this radio.

Important Item To Have Anytime
The SOS siren and light are amazing. Scared my cat off the window, sorry. The weather band radio and regular AM/FM work very well. This radio has a solar light, a spotlight and a hand-crank to use for power. It can be charged by AC, DC (using AAA or Li-Ion batteries.) For the price, it really will be useful when the power goes down and you want to know which way the storm is heading! Thank you FosPower!

Really neat and uses regular batteries if needed
I haven’t really tested it out in the sun yet but it is really seems to be a universal product. I like the fact that you can switch it to use regular batteries if needed. The solar is not to really charge it but to keep a charge going, which is understandable. It picks up good reception and the sound is clear. For the price I like the product.

Decent for the price
Everything works great and feels solid the one downside I have is the LED reading light as far as I can tell doesn’t have a on/off switch so if the solar panel is up the reading light is also on a little counter Intuitive but maybe I’m missing something.

Weather radio
Ordered this because there are times I’m remote for a while, and weather can be important. The radio arrived and unfortunately, after following the manual, everything except the radio worked. So I called Fospower customer service and talked to a technician. It was immediately determined to be a faulty device and Fospower shipped me a new radio. It all works as advertised. Great customer support!
