    Super performance

Great product and customer service…I really like the on-off button on the handle itself, perfect design ! It works great, seems like it will last a long time !

Works wonderfully. We will have to see about durability but very satisfied.

Works well and gives a wonderful shower. It would be nice if the seller provided instructions or options and links to attach this to a normal shower head but that is not a complaint. I am looking at their electric on-demand heaters for the kitchen. Using a perforated plastic peg board and ties to clean up the wiring and tubing so it does not take too much space. Would fit in a larger storage bin for easy transport and looking into a fitting to use the smaller 1 lb propane bottles. Ditching the gas company became so much more feasible for in home use.

    Outstanding Customer Service!

Updated: 8/22Although we had issues with this product, I wanted to update my original review because their customer service was outstanding! We were offered to get a replacement or receive a refund for the product, which was received in a timely manner. In the future, I may consider giving them another chance as they did try to resolve the issue. Thank you.

Just what we needed for our camping trips.

Being the 4th on demand we’ve had, other 3 for the house and camper, didn’t find it hard to adjust. Works for our camping needs. Bought a tripod and had small a propane tank. Plugged into 12v socket on truck and like magic have hot showers in camp. Others come bye to check it out. Bought a plastic storage box to keep it in for travel and in storage.

    Works at high altitude

So I researched these for months before buying this one. We are at 8400 feet in Colorado and could find much on if it would actually work that high. Well it seems to work fine for us, if you are at high altitude then give it a try.Now the bad, the plastic quick connectors it comes with are total garbage, cheap crap. I can not get them to stop leaking no matter what I do. For $5-$10 more they could supply you with brass connectors that won’t leak. There is no one they design these and then tried them out and they didn’t leak. Anyway I have replaced them with brass and no more leaks.

There’s a bit of setup involved, but the shower works great. It all fits in a standard Front Runner Wolf Pack! Very nice unit for those extended trips into the backwoods.

Holds water in copper tubes that freeze and break!

These units are extremely sensitive to the cold so should be stored in a heated area while not in use because they hold water in the copper tubes. The product should come with a warning stating that it is subject to freezing when not stored in a heated space. Other than that it worked well for taking showers before it froze and broke.

    Works awesome

While living in our rv temporarily(holding tank was removed prev)-while building our new home. This has been awesome. Just don’t let a shower get close to the unit. We like it so much- we are going to keep it for an outdoor shower for at the new house for after riding atv’s, hunting, etc !

    Hot water

Pretty simple to use. Water is very hot. I had it on the lowest setting and it was perfect. The water leaks a little from the hose and I wish the pump had a longer hose but overall very pleased with this purchase

    Hot but leaks

This water heater does a great job of producing hot water. It was easy to set up and get going. I was able to tighten the quick disconnects enough so they didn’t leak at the thread connection, but there is absolutely nothing I can do when the quick disconnects constantly leak. I will have to do modifications for my next trip, most likely replacing the included hand held. Also the included hand held hose seems much shorter than expected. This drops a star.If you buy the one with the included pump there’s not much info on what is and isn’t included to hook it up. The pump actually has an SAE connection on the end of it which I thought it was just going to be two wires. It also comes with an SAE to DC male cigarette lighter connection, and an SAE to alligator clips. I ended buying an AC to DC adapter that had a female end of the cigarette lighter on it to get it juice. This dropped it a star since I spent a lot of time searching for answers and bought extra parts because I wasn’t sure what came with it.Lastly about the pump, it’s loud. Louder than I expected, but it is strong. The hose end you put in the water jug should have some kind of end on it. The raw end sucked itself to side of the jug a few times during the water flow. Just a cheap filter type end would help with that.

Camplux on demand hot water heater leaking cold water.

The media could not be loaded.

After assembly the Cold water supply is leaking installed with supplied gasket and leaks. Then I tried Teflon tape with gasket still leaks. Then my next try pipe dope and Teflon tape now it’s has slowed to just a few drips. Still a concern while camping since water is limited. Other than that water is heated nicely the handle is great nice spray pattern just like your at home. It’s great that the shut off on the handle completely stops the flow and shuts off the burners. I’m sure camplux will send me some suggestions or a fix for this.

    Hose leaks

The hose to the shower-head leaks.I would like to have had a suction cup for the shower-head holder.I would like to see an adapter to add to the end of the long wire instead of the stupid cigarette lighter plug.

    Not practical but works

Tried two pumps and neither would pump enough water to keep the unit on so had to plumb directly to the heater which makes it not so great for a portable camping heater. Finally got it plumbed and running and the water gets Luke warm NOT HOT. It works but no great. I will say they sent a replacement but both units do the same thing. So customer service is 5 stars. Product is maybe 3 stars.

    Works but may require fixing

First and foremost: set this thing up at home before taking it to the wilderness! You may find you need things from home depot to get this to work properly.Unit came clean out in box; however, taking caps off water tank lead to water coming out. Must have been a return and repack job. The cold water disconnect leaks like a sieve under the pump pressure with the shower head in the on position. Turning off the shower head the cold water quick disconnect leaks like a fire hose. The shower head leaks badly at the connection. the water heater itself does a good job of heating water. I reckon I can fix the leaking joints with creative use of rubber grommets and/or replacing the fittings. At full blast the pump with drain a 5 gallon bucket of water in under 3 minutes; thus, having a shower head that stops the water flow is a must. Fortunately, the pressure switch on the pump stops the pump when the shower head button is turned off IFF there are not massive leaks in the system.I was able to use one of the small rubber washers that came with the unit to stop the leak in the shower head. A pair of pliers to CAREFULLY turn the quick disconnect fitting on the water intake of the body stopped that leak, too. I do worry about the quick disconnect leaking in the future as my cousin had that happen. Take spare O rings that fit the disconnect with you. All in all, it does work with some effort.

    Game changing product!

Bought this for my off-grid property where I was staying for 3 weeks without electricity or handy running water. I was able to use the Camplux with motorcycle battery and a 30 gallon water barrel that I purchased to create an amazing outdoor shower system. The first iteration was just a cheap dollar store kiddy pool and a few shower curtains rigged up with parachute cord until I could build my shower platform. The only criticism I have is that the pump would occasionally try to start for a split second, then stop – sometimes it would do this over and over. I would “fix” this by turning the shower on and then off again, so I assume it is because the button that shuts off the water had not completely closed the connection and the water was dripping out sufficient to trigger the pressure switch in the pump – annoying, but not enough to dampen my love for this product. I can’t express how life changing it is to be able to take a hot (and I mean HOT – my well water is about 45 degrees and with this I was able to make the water too hot to stand under) shower after a long day of building a deck or mountain biking. I highly recommend this product

    Game changer

Would have given 5 stars but the harness with battery clamps is super short and the 12v power outlet one is 3x as long. The power ends should have been swappable but were not.Besides that the unit is impressive. Pump self primes. When water is flowing the unit ignites and there’s hot water by the time you count to 3. Used at a remote cabin with water pumped from a well and greater had no issues making it plenty hot. Definitely a game changer for off grid. Simple set up and take down with quick connections and easy to drain for periods of non use.Impressions from first use. Hoping it lasts a ling time, seems like it should.

    Misleading advertising

I reviewed this company’s advertising and website for weeks before committing to purchase. I planned to use it in my remote desert camp with no well.Their advertising shows many different scenarios and leading the consumer to believe you will only need “d” cell batteries or gravity. For example: (a) a water tube on top of a truck creating enough gravity pressure to turn on the heater. I placed water more then double that height and it did not create enough gravity pressure. (B) a video of a camper pumping water from a river. Showing a blue pump in the hose line to the heater from the river. Looks like it is using D cell batteries but, you actually need a 12 volt battery sitting on the ground next to it and a solar charger to keep the battery full. (C) images of the pump with the only specifics about pump pressure, not how it is powered. (D) images of people backpacking. All these images lead you to believe it is a simple portable system. They carefully hid the fact the pump requires bulky 12 volt battery and method to keep it charged. They advertise the system is “complete”. You must purchase separately a battery, solar battery charger, connection from the pump to your power source (the pump ships with bare wires). You will also need hose clamps because the hoses blow off the pump and your precious hauled water spits all over the ground. I also need to buy and install a kill switch between the pump and battery because doesn’t completely power off when the shower head is switched off and you will drain your battery. More false advertising. The fittings and connectors leak. The instructions for setting up the pump are so incomplete it is useless. The customer support is NOT available 24/7. Normal business hours only.I finally found the information I needed to get it to work by doing a deep dive into Amazon customer comments and YouTube videos made by private citizens. This company does a terrible job providing needed information. The customer support on the phone and e-mail are rude, unhelpful and make promises they don’t follow through with. The first support person I spoke to actually laughed at me. I was even told it was my fault because I didn’t search You Tube for information before making my purchase! They defended their decision to omit information from their advertising because “everyone else does it”.Yes, you can get hot water. But if you don’t have a hose from well or city water you will not receive a complete system. I needed to spend an extra $160 in parts and hours driving back and forth into town to get this to work.I would look to a more reputable company that is upfront and honest and really helps after the sale. This is not it.

    So Far So Good

Update: Seller accepted the return and replaced it quite quickly and everything that needed to be in the box is all there this time.I’ll add the last star after first use. This just arrived yesterday and as I’m going to install it, I find it’s missing the red hose and shower head, 3 hose fittings, mounting screws and no way to connect the pump to power it.I’m supposed to go on an epic camping trip but now I’ll be without a water heater for the trip.Ordered a replacement, so let’s see how that goes.

    It’s ok for Chinese junk

We use this as our main shower in an off grid living situation. My unit may have arrived in used condition. I’m not sure if the water inside the unit was from testing at the factory or if this one was a returned and reboxed item. The quick-connect fittings that were included leaked terribly no matter what I tried. So I ultimately cut them off and drove around to three different hardware stores to piece together fittings and adapters to connect the hose without the included garbage. The pump does not include a 12v adapter so be sure to order one from somewhere because a 3.5A unit is easy to find online but next to impossible to find at an actual store. I decided to just buy some wire, a switch and some alligator clamps and connect it to my battery when it’s shower time. As far as performance, it’s very inconsistent. Without adjusting the temp settings at all between uses the temperature seems to be different with every use. We usually leave the heat turned all the way down which is plenty warm for my wife and too warm for me. Any higher than the minimum setting is steaming hot… sometimes. Other times we have to turn it up to about 25% or it doesn’t get warm at all. Very inconsistent. The pump is very loud and kinda jumpy, for lack of a better word. A small drip from my cobbled together fittings is enough to make it click on sporadically. A small pressure tank set up might be beneficial. Would I buy this item again. No. It’s a great idea with poor execution, much like most Chinese garbage. It gets water hot but I’m just plain tired of messing with this thing every time we wanna bathe. I’ll probably just start heating water on the stove and pumping that to a shower head. It seems like that would be much simpler than fighting with this junk.

    Hot water heater

Unlike the other units I have used, water heats quick and can get super hot!! Easy prime and install. Only downside is if you use water that has any small grit/sand that the unit doesn’t pickup in the filter at them bottom of the heater, it will cause issues with the shower head. Be very careful taking it apart or it’s a pain to get back together correctly.

The colder the water the better & Nothing leaks

I have only used it in several test conditions but its been realistic shower type trials. The well water is 35- 38 deg F, So cold it’s uncomfortable to even touch it and it works perfect.I leave both knobs in the center position. If you try to recycle the water as some suggest you run a risk of serious hot water (as in WAYYY to hot). The pump worked perfect. I used a Ryobi Drill 18V battery with a step down 13.8 converter. The shower head is awesome (I had my doubts). Make sure to use the supplied soft rubber gasket. The On/Off on ther shower head works perfect.Quick connect fittings dont leak (hand tight).Gas line was pre-connected.It does not cut in and out like some have said.Fires up and is hot in 3 seconds.Man, I hope this thing lasts.

Nice when it works, but impossible to troubleshoot when it doesn’t.

This was straightforward enough to install, and worked well for my purposes at first, but after not even 6 months of use, I’ve reached a dead end.I use this to fill a backyard tub once or twice a month. I haven’t even made it to the end of one propane tank yet and its no long useable. The cold water intake began to leak around use number 5. I was able to continue using it for a time, but now it leaks so badly there isn’t enough water pressure to keep the heater on. I’ve cleaned the mesh and tried to backflush, but there is zero documentation on how to actually maintain this unit.I also have a lot of smoke coming out the top, and while this is most likely from debris, there’s no way to open up the unit to properly clean it. Ive used compressed air but there are many internal components I cannot reach or inspect. The trouble shooting guide simple says if you see yellow flame to stop use and “fix the issue”, with no further instructions. There is no way to properly assess what’s going on inside the unit as the knobs prevents the cover from being removed.I’m really bummed at the lack of response from Camplux and the complete lack of actual documentation regarding maintaining this tankless water heater.

    Disappointed

Apparently, I’m one of the few who had a bad experience with this product. Because most reviews are positive. I bought this in March. And now its June. So I can no longer return it. Or I would. The first problem was the shower head leaked right out of the box. So obviously this wasn’t tested before it was shipped. The second was the brass fittings that connected the propane tank to the heater didn’t seal. So the first time I turned it on, a flame came out of the brass fitting and started to melt away the electrical cable. I only found out when I smelled buring plastic. I had to order some thread sealant which arrives today. So obviously that wasn’t tested either before it left the factory. Not good for a product that could cause serious injury. The good news is it produces hot water very quickly. The bad news…well I still haven’t got it working yet.

Don’t waste your money on the pump. Order a separate pump

I gave it three stars because the actual shower unit worked great but I purchased the pump with it and it lasted around 10 showers and quit. Don’t waste the extra money for the shower and pump combo. Buy a separate pump

Great little shower for off-grid use!

I found this unit to be very useful. I am much happier getting the 12v pump with the water heater together since it is sized correctly for the unit. Been taking showers with it now for a few weeks at our off-grid cabin while we build our forever home nearby. I bought a small 12v battery that has it’s own on/off switch, a 5-gallon bucket, and a small length of clear tubing for the over-pressure drain valve on the bottom of the water heater that feeds into the same bucket. So the only thing I will say is that temperature control is really based on the temperature of the water you freed it. I wait until just before I need a shower in this heat (80 -90 degree days) to pump water from my well so it’s nice and cold. Because this water heater will make the water too hot even on the lowest setting if you don’t start with relatively cool water. It heats whatever the temperature of the water is a set number of degrees warming (based on the red temp knob). A 5-gallon bucket is enough water for a comfortable shower, including shaving in the shower. I would highly recommend the unit WITH the pump, they just work well together. I also bought a nicer hand held shower head just to make it even better.

    Works, but with flaws

I’ve used these types of water heaters before and I was under the impression that this one would actually work properly with low pressure. Not the case. With the water pump provided, water pressure isn’t enough to properly run the unit. It will fire up and work, but the flame has to be set to lowest and water should be set to highest. But low water pressure means that you can only set the water flow to about 20% before the flame shuts off due to low pressure. This means heat of water is way too hot. 135°f. Scalding. The unit needs a better water pump.

    (UPDATE) Customer service is outstanding

This unit by itself is fine. However, they advertise quick couplers and included only the female ends on the hot and cold feeders. They did not include the male adaptors that thread onto the bottom that would allow one to connect the hoses and actually use the product. Not only that, but two of the rubber wall mounts for the pump were just loose in the box and I had to open up the housing to put those on, sacrificing the prime and sending a small spring flying, but it went back together easy enough.UPDATE: I contacted the seller by phone and e-mail on a Sunday and was pleased to get a phone call response on the first business day after my email. After proving that I actually ordered their product, they shipped the missing pieces which arrived a couple days later. Aside from that inconvenience, once fully assembled, the product works as described and delivers hotter water than anyone needs for a shower. I do suggest getting a longer hot water hose and you will likely need to adapt the provided hoses to fit your particular plumbing situation. The little pump that comes with it is strong enough to pull water from my trailer from 20ft away. Overall, the customer service was so great that the frustrations from the delivery were easily forgotten. Great product. Great people on the other end.

    It works as advertised

I ordered this to take camping in Maine, but as luck would have it, our hot water heater broke at our house. I set the Camplux up in my makeshift backyard shower and was able to take a nice hot shower until the house hot water heater was replaced. It was easy to set up and use. I used the hose from the house spicket, and the water temperature was very easy to regulate – not too hot or cold. I was VERY happy to have it. I have yet to use it camping but am hopeful it will work just as well from a different water source.

I had an issue right out of the box with the unit not working. My initial call to tech support must have been answered by someone new. Absolutely love it. Permenatly mounted in an outside/ semi inclosed bath house. I did find it a little tricky with the temp setting but that maybe attributed to my water supplie temp. All around wonderfully product. Would by agian for a gift or recommend to a friend.

    Excellent for my RV shower.

This can be safely used indoors, as stated. Mounted this directly under the window in my RV. Using the fantastic fan and opening the window provides ample ventilation and it works beautifully! Heats nice and is easy to adjust. Turning the shower head off turns off the flame. Was easy to wire the pump into the existing wiring for the pump it replaced. Worth every penny!

Nice Camplux 5L tankless water heater

The Camplux 5L is a nice tankless water heater. The kit includes everything including tools. Two DC water pump harnesses. Cig lighter plug and another harness with battery clamps. Comes with quick disconnects, mounting hardware, rubber seals and a nice instruction manual. I hooked it up and it works great. I bought a Silvel diesel heater and it had no Dc connectors and was DOA on arrival. It is nice when a company makes a good quality unit and gives you the needed attachments to use it.

We use this at a cabin without indoor plumbing or bathroom. It’s a lovely addition. The assembly and use is as simple as we could hope for.My largest gripe is that the exhaust sends stinky black smoke out. Smells like melting plastic. I’m not sure that’s supposed to happen.

For not having a shower or hot water in our horse trailer this is amazing. Took nice hot showers all weekend without shutting the water off and didn’t use much water. Definitely a game changer and worth the money

    Works great. But it now

I set it up at home first. A lot of reviews stated water leaks at the fittings but if you pay attention it comes with o rings and you just need to pay close attention on where they are needed. The water pump works perfect with plenty of water pressure. Not like home but perfectly fine. It gets super hot I had it set on low for my shower in 30° temps and it was perfect. Don’t forget to open the water bleed valve and unclip the water lines at night if it gets below freezing. Don’t forget it need 2 “D” size batteries.

    Function and replacement

This is an amazing on demand water heater! We use it every day. We are an off-grid family, so this thing is super important to us. One day I went to go use it and water sprayed from the top. Thinking maybe just the hoses are loose, that happens sometimes because we drain it Everytime and sometimes the hoses aren’t reattached all the way after draining it. So I tightened the hoses and it still was spraying out the top. So I investigated the problem and found a tiny hole in the coil. So I contacted Camplux whom then told me to take pictures and send to their email for further resolution. After review and after me proving that the unit is in a well insulationed building with heat regulated temps, they agreed it was a manufacturing defect and not due to a freeze left in the line. They were very quick to respond and quickly resolved the issue by sending me a new unit! I highly recommend this unit and their customer service!!

    Works well

Works well for a fraction of the price compared to other high end products, shower head is nice with the features it has, the temperature runs a bit too hot and have to tweak it often, so far has been working really good for us in different elevations from lower desert to high elevation around 11,000 feet in Colorado. The only improvements to be done are the plastic fittings eventually leak so ai had to replace them with brass quick disconnect fittings and I modified the hoses and wiring to feet my needs. It works good out of the box.

    Amazingly Simple, works-from-the-box heater kit

I ordered the Camplux 5L 1.32GPM heater along with 12-volt pump. I used a 1000L (275 gallon) water cube for water, picked up a $13 battery from Walmart, connected a solar-based trickle-charger that keeps the battery fully charged in the New Mexico high desert, and then connected it all together. I built a wooden structure around it, and a porous floor with stones underneath for drainage and used some canvas fabric for the summer since wood is currently outrageously expensive. I know have an amazing summer shower. It worked the very first time. Once the water pressure kicks in from the 12-volt DC pump, the heater detects it, and kicks on as well and within 30 seconds heated water is pouring out. Plan on using 5-10 gallons of water per shower as it’s quite enjoyable outside. The water is a bit hot, and I am trying to find the right blend of water pressure and propane gas to keep the water from being too hot.Solar-powered, off-grid hybrid shower solution. Pretty cool and the fact it worked the first time is amazing.

    Does not work right

Came with a missing part. Didn’t have the red quick disconnect. I was able to use my old pump system for the connection. Turned it on and there is no min hot. I had the temp on min and it was so hot I can’t even put my hand on the water. If you want to turn yourself, than go ahead and buy this. Don’t know if mine was just faulty but read a lot of good reviews on this unit. Only reason I bought it. I am very disappointed. Going to have to go camping with no hot water. Smfh

First off….. do ndot judge Amazon said our pop tent that was ordered was undeliverable. Lol not sure about that since we get orders on a daily. The water heater gives off great hot water. We used this with water feeding from a water drum since we had no water hook up. Easy to set up! We have since gotten a different tent which we feel will make the next shower amazing lol.

Pump doesn’t work/ company was great to work with

So this is the 2nd one I’ve purchased my firstone works very well. It is used in a bathroom at camp that is off the grid. This one is the kitchen of camp .This one I recentlypurchased the pump quits often and loses prime or something. It is only drawing from 3 feet away so I don’t know what the problem is… The company reached out to me and corrected the situation. Sent me a new pump and system is working great. Thank you

UPDATE Camplux 5L 1.32 GPM Outdoor Portable Propane Gas Tankless Water Heater

Very good first impressions.Used outdoors, lowest outside temperature in my area are 40 to 45F (Lower California)(no freezing, can’t test at lower temps), water was to cold to shower (about 45F)Read the installation instructions and don’t drop the two rubber gaskets, the fly of the bagEasy to assemble, except for the mounting of the unit only a Philips screwdriver was used.Works and lighted up as soon as the gas was connected and the pump was running.Temperature of water was warm at low gas setting and high water flow.Temperature of water was too hot to handle at high gas settings (steaming hot)Unit is light, has a handle and mounting brackets. Not so good, the hot water outlet black plastic adapter was cross threaded and a small amount of water water leaked after installation, contacted customer support for assistance.UPDATE:Issue was not resolve, the leak was cause by the black adapter from the tank to the hose quick disconnect.I just wanted to know what what brass adapter I needed to replace the cross threaded plastic one for the hot water,.Their answer was to send them a video. Yes, I will travel to my cabin in Mexico to take a video, edit the video and wait for hopefully a good answer and then return and perform the repair. They know this is a common failure in their unit and they should know that it will not cost them any money to provide an answer.I did not ask them for a free replacement in the one week old purchase, I only wanted information on a brass replacement for reliability up in the mountain or outdoors activities.

    Great for off-grid

We got this to use in our off grid cabin until we get a more permanent solution for showering and hot water. We simply hook this up to a propane tank, hook the pump to a portable battery and then to a 5 gallon water jug. Heats up real quick and you can adjust the temp and water flow. Only negative would be a longer hose for the shower head side.

    Changed our Camping game forever

For anyone that camps like I do you know all too well that feeling of a hot shower after multiple days on the trail or backcountry is quite literally and enlightening experience it feels so good. Well the addition to this water heater and a OVS shower cube to our overland trailer has CHANGED THE GAME. The ability to have a hot shower on the trail is mine numbingly awesome. If you camp, you NEED this.

    Great Outdoor Heated Shower!

I bought two of these for a treehouse and a camper Airbnb. They work great and are pretty easy to use. Hook up a propane tank and find a way to power the pump. The pump didn’t come with something to plug in so I had to do a little electrical work to add a plug, but when customer service sent me a replacement for one that broke due to freezing, they sent me a 12 volt car connecter with it that would be suitable for camping. All in all, these are a great choice for our use. Just make sure you drain them before it freezes outside or take them inside for the cold.

    Exceeded my expectations!

So far I’m loving this portable on-demand hot water heater. We use it to get our spa to temperature quickly and even warm up the pool!Normally with the portable spa heater it can take anywhere from 8 to 15 hours to heat it to 102 degrees depending on starting temperature . This little heater can get it up to temp in one half to one hour depending on starting temperature. Its so easy to use and ignites first time every time. Its been the answer to our prayers. A tank of Propane last quite awhile too. I’ve been using it a couple of months now and no problems 😊The hand held shower is really nice too, gives decent pressure and gas a water pause button to boot. I”ll update if anything Changes with it. Overall I’m very impressed with it. Update, still working awesome!! First use of the summer it fired right up. Still really impressed with this little water heater.

    Useful for many purposes

I made this purchase for initially superheating my hot tub and it worked flawlessly. Along with the slow electric heater on my 300 gallon Walmart hot tub, using this also heated it 13 degrees an hour. I then built an inexpensive outside shower using this as the hot water means and it preformed flawlessly. Thinking about upgrading to a higher pressure unit so I can have better pressure with the same heat.

    Pretty good

Gets hot. Just keep wind away because it blows the flames away from the piece it heats and it doesn’t heat the water.

    Problem solver! Warm showers now.!

We haven’t used enough to know how long it will last so it may need a 5. It sure works as advertised though. Install wasn’t too bad, no tech needed yet and price was right for the need.

    Company Fixed Issue Quickly

After building a mount for the shower to fit on my vehicle, I initially had an issue with the pump not drawing water reliably, and I was concerned because of an overland trip coming up within a week. I went through the typical RMA back-and-forth with Camplux, and they went the extra mile to get me a replacement pump within about 48 hours so I would have the device for use on the trip. Great service, and they really delivered. Here’s a handy tip–if you’re only drawing from drinking water containers, this will easily get water more than hot enough for morning coffee and cooking. Thanks for the fast service, Camplux!

    Heater Awesome! Pump sucks!

I gave it a 3 star review because only half of what was sold to me work. The heater is awesome. It works perfectly, essentially plug and play, and heats the water hotter than you would ever use to shower (can be controlled to cool down). However, I had to return the first shipment because the pump never started. The second shipment, the pump would start but wouldn’t pump water. After 2 days of trying to figure it out, I finally got it to pump water by manually priming it (fill up tube with water to push out air bubbles and then starting the pump) but the pump wasn’t string enough to push water through the heater and out the shower. Its very disappointing since I paid more money to get both the heater with the pump. Now I have to spend another $100 or so to buy a pump that works.
